Council Appointment

ProPensions’ Director, Jane Foley, has recently been elected as a member of the Council of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees (APPT), the representative body for professional trustees of occupational pension schemes in the UK.  Jane’s primary role on the Council will be to represent the views of smaller professional trustee firms (those firms with five or fewer accredited trustees), a continuation of the role she has held for the past year on a co-opted basis.

Jane has also recently taken on the role of chair of the APPT’s Small Firms Forum, and will look to build on the excellent work done by founding chair Ian Pittaway.  This network enables the smaller trustee firms and sole practitioners to share ideas and experiences across all aspects of pension trusteeship and is a highly valued source of support for professional trustees across the UK.

This is fantastic recognition for Jane and we have no doubt her experience and approach will allow her to contribute positively to the Council, for the benefit of the growing professional trustee industry and the scheme members we represent.
