By appointing us as a professional independent trustee we can provide the following services:

• Act as chair of your trustee board if required

• Co-ordinate the relationships between the trustee board, employer and scheme advisers

• Bring industry best practice and experience of other schemes to benefit the discussions at your trustee meetings

• Ensure a proportionate approach is taken to assessing the employer covenant, and how that feeds into funding and investment discussions

• Bring experience of negotiating appropriate scheme funding strategies with the sponsoring employer

• Set appropriate investment strategies reflecting the circumstances of the scheme, and the investment risk attitudes of the trustees and employer

• Guide the trustee board through any interaction with the Pensions Regulator

• Establish and maintain appropriate governance procedures covering issues such as conflicts of interest, risk register and trustee effectiveness reviews

• Draft communications to improve member engagement with the scheme

• Provide secretarial services covering all aspects of meeting preparation and follow up, including the drafting of minutes

• Monitor adviser fees and service levels and run adviser review processes where needed

• Bring experience to the trustee board on one-off exercises such as corporate activity, liability management exercises or bulk annuity/consolidation transactions

• Provide trustee training on current issues
